Good Report: When Death is not the End -"Nice to Finally Meet You"

There was a very beautiful occurrence that has happened several weeks ago.
To be exact, it started on March 19th 2020, where I saw a post of a lady name Sonya requesting for artists to paint a portrait of her beloved deceased father with Jesus.
With compassion and empathy, I reached out and offered to serve her request.
As an artist who follows Christ, I usually pray and ask the Lord what He desires to see fit in a painting, especially when it comes down to painting a portrait of His beloved ones.

During the process of prayer, the Lord showed me a vision that was not exactly a "portrait", but a moment in time that happened. I saw Sonya's father on a beautiful hillside road, tears in his eyes, and an awestruck moment, where he seems to be reaching out to shake hands with Jesus. A nervous joy. Almost that feeling where you meet a "celebrity". Except this "celebrity" just happens to be the One and only, Lord of Lords, King of Kings Himself! :D

My logical side wants to argue that this may not be entirely what Sonya was requesting, as it was not the typical "portrait". However, I took the leap of faith and trusted the Lord's word of Proverbs 3:5-6 on this and began painting the vision out.

After the illustration was sent out to Sonya, to my great surprise, I received quite a comforting and pleasant verification.
Sonya explained that few days after her father has passed, her son-in-law had a vision which was exactly how the Lord showed me. Her five year old grandson also had a dream that describes the same description as the vision.
I was speechless, awestruck, and really grateful that there is a comfort, a great hope and great delight to look forward to in the "end" of this life. I am really grateful as well that through this, the Lord brought to all of us a great uplift of comfort, healing and hope in glory.
That though the earth may have loss a beautiful soul, this occurrence makes me think, "Wow, right on the other side right now, they finally get to meet the most beautiful King who have defeated death once and for all."

Thank you Sonya for your permission to share this testimony. :) God bless you!

“Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they shall be comforted.
(Matthew 5:4)

For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing.
(2 Corinthian 5:1-2)

And as a contribution to Ravi Zacharias, who has passed onward today May 19, 2020 to finally meet the "Author of Destiny". He has finally achieved the greatest discovery.

“There is no greater discovery than seeing God as the author of your destiny.” - Ravi Zacharias
