Piercing Darkness: Heaven's Way of Battle

 

  You are of God, little children, 

and have overcome them,

 because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

 1 John 4:4

It fascinates me how God teaches us how to fight the battles in life.

With songs and worship, we fight in the power of love.

We fight in a place of resting in God.

We fight the good fight of faith.

Faith in waiting, trusting, abiding, dwelling, surrendering in Him.  

We fight in the place of standing strong in God's might and His word.

We fight with singing, praising and dancing.

We fight evil with goodness.

Heaven's way of piercing darkness.

Light hitting the darkness.

How awesome is God who fights our battle.

Invites us to be soldiers and warriors of His Kingdom.

As ambassadors of Christ, we fight with truth of love.

We fight in the simplicity of communicating with our Creator in truth and worship.

We fight in coming knowing our Heavenly Father.

Believing and living His Word.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,  casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,  and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 

 

  These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33

...Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 

2 Chronicles 20:15

 

 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid? 

 When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

 Psalm 27:1-3

 

 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

 Matthew 5:14-16 

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Hebrews 4:12-13 

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
